Where are your project files you both are trying to work on? Each user needs their own separate copies, preferably on your own local hard drive. VSS doesn't actually let you share a single VFP project in a server folder, you need your own copies locally.

Create a "working folder" on your local machine.
Make sure this is your current folder in VFP.
From the VFP file menu, Join Source Control Project...

This will create your own copy of the project from VSS.
