I've not had a great deal of experience with this particular problem, but a number of the ActiveX controls that I work with are designed to take a file reference to the bitmap, so for me, it seems to be an easy choice...the alternative would be to use a binary memo field, and extract the bitmap to a .BMP on the fly. It seems easier the other way...
