Could you explain more completely what the problem is -

1) The textbox isn't wide enough? See Kenneth's answer for auto-sizing textboxes.

2) The user is able to enter 10 characters although the field is only 6 characters long? Use the InputMask or MaxLength properties to limit the number of characters which can be entered. I think MaxLength is VFP5 and later, but I know VFP3 has the InputMask property.

3) Something else?????
