Hi John:

If you got your 'upgrade' to Win98 by getting a new faster PC, it may be the dreaded 'slow start' problem. There have been some earlier threads about this issue, some with the exact URL to use, which escapes me at the moment, but you can get a patch for FPW-2.6a (not 2.6) direct from M$ to make it behave on the newer faster CPU PCs... Other recent threads have also addressed just the general use of Win98... If not that, I can't help you -- passing up on Win98 as long as I can. I see no benefits beyond a patched Win95...
