Please do not CC things to me. I dropped this discussion after my first reply, except read messages to learn. IMHO questions are for purpose and the discussion has got into puzzle solving, as Nancy stated we're having fun. If really needed I'd take a way like Ed's or Nancy's. If I desperately needed it probably I would end up with writing a FLL or prolog routine, not sure I'd do it in pure fox. But what would you do with a function "ReturnMeAllNumbersInTheString". Maybe meaningfull for a puzzle solver. I could take it further asking what if the string was "Pour 2 and a half table spoon full of salt..." or "3 dozens of 6 1/9 sized ...". What are the numbers here ?
BUT I cannot disregard coding technologies shown in this discussion :) They do teach.
