While I'm not as yet running the beta of Windows 2000, there's is one piece of information you (and others) should be aware of. This is from the May, 1999 Universal Subscription cover letter:

"Microsoft does not support installing Visual Studio Service Pack 3 on Windows 2000 Beta 3 RC1, but does support installation on the final release of Windows 2000 Beta 3."

The RC1 reference above refers, of course, to Release Candidate 1, which is currently, AFAIK, the latest.
