It is best to run the SETUP wizard. Doing anything else is non-standard and flirting with disaster.

Since I deploy on a LAN in a corporate environment I do three things
- copy database and tables to server
- copy EXE to server
- create a "fake" install that only installs DELETEME.TXT onto the client's computer. This has the side effect of installing all of the VFP runtime files (if you have checked the proper option). I load the SETUP installation files on the server then the user can run this themselves or I can visit the station.
