Using the view designer we created a two table join.
Each table is about 1 million records.
The primary table is 264 bytes record length and the other is 234 bytes.
This is a left outer join.
The tables are joined on a single foriegn key.
15 fields are selected from the two tables to be used in the view.

Using two filters we are trying to query the data and quickly return a cursor. Each filter matches one index in each table. The queries are averaging between 20 to 25 seconds but can take as long as three minutes.

Does anybody have any ideas for speeding this up.
