How much RAM do you have? I have seen intermittent problems using 8meg or 16megs with VFP3 and VFP6. Closing other open applications or adding more RAM has solved the problem.

If you have VFP6 have you applied SP3?

Are there any other clues as to what could be different between times when it crashes and when it is okay?

Are there any other forms with this behaviour?

All I know is that the VFP error message is just simply 'syntax error', and I haven't a clue. I have rebuilt the form several times, and have gone back and forth between the form being an actual form and having the form as a form class, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
