Hi

I am using VBA from VFP6 to print some form letters using Word97. I have to print 1000 letters. The process goes fairly quickly and my program & Word finish within several minutes. However, printing takes several hours. When I print from VFP without Word 97 the printing speed on the HP network laser is about 16pages/minutes. When the documents have been printed and spooled from Word 97 the print speed is only 3pages/minute. Why are the print jobs so much slower when spooled by Word than from VFP?

Is there anyway to increase the speed? I have changed the print priority but with little or not increase in speed. I am running under Windows NT 4 SP4.
