Browse... preferrence is, IMO, unstable because it's using Foxuser file which can get trashed for any reason, and can't be used at all if your user tries to run two instances of your app at the same time.

I've had much more luck with using all the necessary per-field clauses in the Browse command, and running it in a pre-defined window. Everything is controllable and configurable that way - headers, widths, window positions etc.
