Hi Marcus,

Here are my opinions on your questions:

>1. Does creating more indexes in a cdx give a higher probability of corrupting an index?
>
I would say no, in the general case. Of course it would follow that the more activity to any file, the greater the chances of a problem. But I've had HUGE tables with lots of indexes and small ones with only a coupla indexes and I would say any "corruption rate" was the same.

>2. If I would like to use a SELECT statement with ORDER BY lname, fname -- should I have two separate indexes for lname and fname?
>
No, not specifically for the ORDER BY clause. However, if your select uses either/both in the WHERE clause, then yes, the one(s) used should be indexes.
