>>There is actually a Rick Harvey Gibson electric. They gave him a flying V Gibson that was worth about 10k, but he really liked his Les Paul the best. Everytime I hear ZZ Top's Lagrange or Atlanta Rythm Section's Spooky, I think of him and that Les Paul.

>>Thats really neat. Did he play in any famous bands?

>Well he toured with B.B. King, Little Milton, and Bobbie "Blue" Bland and played on Bland's grammy award winning album. He played with Stevie Ray Vaughn, Sam the Sham, Jerry Lee Lewis, and a whole bunch of others. Mick Jagger even had good things to say about his guitar work in a magazine article. Last month Memphis's Blues Foundation newsletter had an article entitled "Remembering Rick Harvey." He was a great musician, but not much of a business person. Kinda like a lot of us, just much better instrumentally!

John, I missed this one earlier. I'm flattened by the list. Especially, the SRV entry. Man, if he could play with Stevie Ray, he musta had some wicked chops. Besides the Bobbie "Blue" Bland album, what others?
