Using ODBC with VFP, you're not generally "programming" ODBC per se, rather, you configure it. Conceptually it's a driver, like a video driver - once set up, you have a path or pipe to an ODBC data source that VFP can use, either with remote views or via DBSETPROP(), etc.
I suspect the "21 day course" may be to teach you how to write an ODBC driver, rather than how to use it.
>I am looking for a book to learn ODBC programming as it relates to VFP. Everything I am finding out there relates to C++ or Visual Basic. I have purchased a book called "Teach Yourself ODBC Programming in 21 Days." But to use it, it requires you own Visual Basic or C++.
