Oh, I agree completely. However, these things should be designed within the context they're running in. As an example, I think that everyone would agree that dynamic linking with FoxPro is slower than including the necessary components. However, the real question should be does it hinder performance to the point where it shouldn't be used. My experience has been that it doesn't. Since this has been the case, it is much more efficient for me to dynamically link, since it requires me only to recompile one module rather than all the modules that use it and turn that one over.
