So you're saying that (at least in pre-VFP6/SP3), even if you did an append, you could not compile the stored procedure. Perhaps this is a nit, but I think the documentation should have mentioned this as a feature that is not available in a runtime.
As to how it works under VFP6/SP3: I will try it out...
Nope, it still does not work. The exact command that blew up is:
APPEND PROCEDURES FROM (oApp.cTempFileDirectory + "StorPrcs.TXT") OVERWRITE

It looks like this feature is not available in the runtime even under VFP6/SP3--do you agree?
