>>I think with UT as it stands today you've gone beyond reproducing CIS forums (only without the bugs) and look forward to the future improvements.

Compuserve forum software is FULL of bugs.
You have reproduced most of the functions of a CIS forum - but
without the bugs...

An off-line reader. While the ListServ interface does some of the functions, I really like the threading in UT.
An off-line program would reproduce the threading by maintaining a local database of the messages on my computer and letting my REPLY to them using the program.
The program stores the replies in another database ready to send to UT.
Later I run the Online pass of the program and it connects to UT, sends my replies to the correct messages, and reads all the new messages for me, placing them in the database again.
The UT NEWS facility gives me half of an OLR, I have the messages that I can store in my database.
Now, how can I get from what News sends me to the message ID or whatever is necessary to generate the URL that will get me to the REPLY function to the correct message?
I'm pretty sure it can be done.
