Hello All,
First question - I have a table that has more than 255 fields - what can I do to deal with it (Access bugs out at 255)? I'm trying linking tables almost like pointers where I use 2 fields - 1 for the name of the previous table and one for the next table. However, I still need to have the results displayed, and the Queries can't handle more than 255 fields either. HELP!!

Second question - the main reason why this is happening is that I'm dealing with Genetics data that comes in this format:

Person1 Marker1 Allele1 M1A1Val1
Person1 Marker1 Allele2 M1A2Val1
Person2 Marker1 Allele1 M1A1Val2
Person2 Marker1 Allele2 M1A2Val2
Person1 Marker2 Allele1 M2A1Val1
Person1 Marker2 Allele2 M2A2Val1
Person2 Marker2 Allele1 M2A1Val2
Person2 Marker2 Allele2 M2A2Val2
...etc ...

And the information must be presented as:
Name, Marker1.1, Marker1.2, Marker2.1, Marker2.2, ...etc
Person1, M1A1Val1, M1A2Val1, M2A1Val1, M2A2Val1
Person2, M1A1Val2, M1A2Val2, M2A1Val2, M2A2Val2

The only way I was able to do this was the create a table where the field names were the marker names and go like that. Except that I'm exceeding the 255 field limit in Access.

Any other suggesstions?

Thanks for your time!!!
