The help isn't too helpful on that. Actually, the complete help on double-byte data in VFP is so scarce, as if it was part of Office and not VS.
One thing I have tried was to have Unicode on the clipboard and tried to paste it in a field in a .dbf - got all the bytes; pasting from VFP table (copied content of a memo field) into Word97 worked fine, and produced Unicode text. Still, I don't think you can directly store Unicode in a .dbf field and have that field bound to a textbox in a form. You'll get characters in the ACP (Ansi Code Page of the machine where it runs - search for the string OEMCP in your machine's registry, ACP is right above it). It probably works Unicode for tables and apps running on machines with a Unicode versions of Windows, like Japanise, Chinese and Korean, but I've never heard of it working for the rest of the world.
Still, if you get some hints of this, publish it here. I'd rather need it - we use two alphabets in parallel, and I'd like to be able to have the users switch keyboard as they like and still see the proper characters.
