Not sure off-hand, but it sounds like the textbox control might be 3-D and when you click the text is shifting because the control is different. You might try removing the default text box and just rely on the column's controlsource to display your information.

If that doesn't help, and you don't get another suggestion, please post back here with the specifications. What version of VFP and what kind of control are you using, etc. (anything *interesting*, IOW)
