I appear to have figured out what the problem was, although I am not quite sure what I did...

I went and removed all of the tables and view associated in the data environment, then shut down VFP and reinstalled the tables and view back in WITHOUT establishing the relationships this time as I do not require the tables to have them.

Recreated the grid based on the view and it now allows me to have two copies of the same form running simultaneously. Not sure what happened here, but I thank you very much for your assistance...
