I am not sure what you mean by "character mode" and "council".

You could run vfp without forms and use @get and ?
But this would means abandoning any high-level user interface.

I am trying to run a VFP program through a telnet session over the internet. I can initiate the program, but I cannot view or control it because it has openned up in another window other than the original council. Is there a way to remedy this?
