Thank goodness, you can't directly, otherwise you'd be totally scrod if you ever walked away from a system while it was logged in. As it is, Win9x security is lax enough that you can bypass the Windows login as long as you're logged in and access to the Windows directory and registry aren't explicitly blocked, and even then, if the user can get the system to boot into Safe Mode, all bets are off.

You can retireve the userid of the currently logged-in user, and there are API methodsa that can be used to test the validity if a password, but anything beyond that requires considerable work, much more so in NT than in Win9x.
