>Ahhh yes. I used to call them "Beeper Boys"....young guys/gals wearing beepers and trying to look important. They were the clowns who would walk into a client and quote them some ridiculously low price. You'd lose the potential work and then the "Beeper Boy" would screw the thing up.
But don't be too harsh on them. I love those guys. Their ex-customers often become my good customers, tame to the "eats from my hand" degree. You only have to watch out when you get into such a customer, to jump over the corpse in the doorway.
