Title:
Honest opinion sought - VFP6 stability ?
Hi all,
I've just downloaded both Service Pack 3 for Visual Studio 6
and the list of bugs that are corrected by Service Pack 3.
I could not believe some of the bugs that were present in
VFP6 (and I know about the VB ones too) - I use VFP5a.
Ed Rauh, Evan Delay, and Bruce Campbell have offered some
views about the stability of VFP6 now that Service Pack 3
has been released.
I have never had a stability problem with VFP5a, so before I
move wholesale to VFP6 with SP3, I would like to invite
opinions from all of you out there who have been using VFP6
with SP3, as regards its new found stability.
I am not interested in the case to move towards VFP6 from a
features point of view - from that point of view it is clear
that VFP6 has to be the way.
I am only interested in opinions from a stability point of
view.
Is it now worth moving to VFP6 with SP3 ?
Thanks in advance.
Michel Creppy.
