More info and correction.

If I take all of the SKIP FOR clauses out of the menu, then the menu DOES respond correctly on the first mouse click. I took the SKIP FORs out, one menu at a time, then when I cleared tha last one all was OK.

I almost convinced myself that the SKIP FORs were the problem, but then I realize that using the ALT key to activate the menu, or any hot-key sequence (ALT+F, ALT+H etc) all cause the appropriate menu bar to drop down immediately.

Why does it work with the keyboard and not the mouse?
Regards
Mark
