Hi Mat,

Thanks for responding. Here is what I mean when I say it does not retrieve the record... I have the form set up so when the user first calls it from the menu it shows a blank form rather then automatically going into the add mode. The user brings up the Find form, enters her search criteria, clicks on 'Find Now', and the grid gets populated with all of the matching records. The user then highlights the record she wants to select, and clicks on the 'Select' button. The find form closes, focus returns to the main form but the record the user just selected is not displayed.

This problem appears to be a data issue since the find form works with most records. So I placed a print button on the Find form that prints all of the data in the find form's view. All of the records in the find form view have data in the primary key field.

Does the find form have it's own data session? I'm thinking that maybe DELETE is set off in the find form's data session but set on in the main form.
