>I'm not going to echo what the others have said. What I am going to do is quote (or at least paraphrase) Ken Levy. He's called it the most stable version of VFP to date. My experience with it so far confirms it. Given some of the new features and capabilities, it's a very worthwhile upgrade. You may find some things don't work quite the same way (WAIT WINDOW's in SDI forms may not appear as they did before), but they still work. In this case, you've got to have the Desktop property set to .F. where it was .T. before.

Hi George, I was going to reply earlier but got sucked into some actual serious work :)

I wouldn't disagree with Ken Levy on this, exactly. I have two apps built from scratch in vfp6, and even before SP3 I was not having problems (like the C000005) that many had reported. These small apps are very smooth and stable. In that sense (and especially after SP3), vfp6 is as Ken says, I certainly agree.

But when I tried to convert a vfp5 app when I first got 6, it was a disaster - errors, bad performance, color problems...admittedly, the app was first done in vfp3, and my early vfp coding was definitely not a great paradigm < s >. But I'm still a little suspicious about upgrading into 6 since that experience...

That's why I voiced my other reply the way I did, anyway...
