Jeremy,

Something strange is happening in your case. I do things invisibly in Excel all the time without causing the sheet itself to become hidden. I have several programs that manipulate spreadsheets behind the scenes from VFP and the users are able to quit the app and open up Excel and edit the worksheet without a problem.

>This is my task: I open up an excel sheet with a GETOBJECT, and I want to delete a couple of rows, format some stuff, then save it. I got the formatting and deleting part, the problem is that when I save it, it saves it in an "invisible" format, so when I open it up in Excel, I have to go to the Window menu and choose to unhide it. I'd rather not have the application visible ever while running my program, so is there a way to save it visible without actually opening up? I realize I could "cheat" and move the Excel app off the screen before making it visible, but I'd rather have a simpler solution. Any suggestions? Thanks.
