Hi Elyse.

>One of my databases contains a table named "fields." I get an error whenever I try to modify this table in Stonefield. I suspect it is because of the table name causing a conflict. Is this true?

Yes. Although Mark, Al, and Barbara suggested that "fields" is a reserved word, that's not the source of the problem in this case. The SDT Extended Table Designer uses a cursor called FIELDS to hold the fields in the current table (it also uses one called INDEXES for the indexes), so it's conflicting with your table name. I've been meaning to rename those cursors to _FIELDS and _INDEXES, and your message prompted me to actually go and do it [g]. It'll be in the next SDT update on our Web page (likely in the next week or so). I'd give it to you now, but I need to fully test everything before I unleash it on the public [g].
