I do this all the time with no problem. Generally, I create my cursor in the Form load and when I want to change its contents I zap it, repopulate it, and then SetFocus to the grid.

Zapping the cursor has the advantage of not resetting the grid's recordSource.

Sounds to me like you are not refreshing the grid. If this is not the problem, please post your code so we can help you to figure it out.
