If you want a cheap (ie. FREE) way of encrypting fields, look for
the CIPHER library in the Files Section. It enables you to encrypt
and decrypt strings/fields.

If you do not want to go the Client/Server route suggested by Ed,
there are also commercial solutions that provide seamless record
encryption and decryption.
