Stefan,

Got the desired 'disabled' behavior when I used the treectrl property
sheet found when right clicking on the treeview. Unfortunately, changing the
state of enabled programmatically had little affect on the treeview behavior.

Found it interesting that some other users had better success...

Realized the treeview I was testing wasn't subclassed. Tried it and seem
to be getting the desired behavior.

To subclass an activex control

Type 'Create Class yourtreeview of yourclass as olecontrol'

Select 'Insert Control' in the dialog box
Select treeview control
Hit Ok
