I finally have an application with the need for security, I've not had to worry about this until now. I am looking for information, references, or sugguestions on building/implementing a security module for a LAN application. It needs to provide for access by either individual or group access.

Should I be building a .dll, or does a good one exist? What are some things to beware of or adhere to?
