>I presently have an application installed as an EXE file with VFP6R.DLL runtime. I have been supporting my client via e-mail by sending them a recompiled .EXE file when changes are needed. (There are no Active X controls or use of ADO in the app - just straight VFP). I am about to update my system with SP3. If I later need to recompile the app, can I get away with just sending the client the recompiled EXE file and a new copy of VFP6R.DLL or do I need to make new distribution disks? (Is DLL version information stored in the Registry?)
Your client will need the new runtimes. Remeber...your EXE is nothing more than tokenized code. All the workings are in the runtime.
