Actually, I do find some truth in that statement. Almost all of the Fox programmers here at the company I work for have degrees in fields other than computer science. I think one guy has a degree in building/construction managment even.
I myself just completed my freshman year at Purdue University in the school of computer science and they cram nothing but C down your throat and other varient languages down your throat(lovely experiences with Matlab). I'm switching over to Computer Engineering this coming school year. I ran into Foxpro for the first time when I started working here at my summer temp job.
