I have a BS in Finance and an MBA in Quantitative Analysis. The problem
I find with some VFP programmers is that they know the bare minimum and sell
themselves as programmers.

I know of a guy that is trying to sell a $10,000 application to a large
bank. To give you an idea of this so called Fox programmer (and his friend
that have been using Fox and VFP for the last 5 to 8 years) they recently
inquired as to how to use the MessageBox() function. Is not that
tantimount (sp?) to a simple "Hello World" program?

It is people like that that are giving VFP a bad name. I have known some
of the best VFP people that were either music or english majors. In fact
I believe George Goley was an English major.

VFP is an easy language to use. That is both a positive and negative.
Too many fools out there that are selling their services as professional
when they are anything but professional. That is probably why certification
whether good or bad does indeed have a place...
