Let's see, I was in my apartment on the South Side of Chicago with my first wife (who was pregnant with my daughter at the time). Much the same with the small B&W TV with fuzzy pictures. I remember the wonderful feeling I had during the event.
On the slightly ironic side, today (7/21) is the 74th anniversary of John Scopes being found guilty of teaching evolution in a Tennessee public school. It's also my 26th wedding anniversary to wife number two.
