Ok, drop back and punt (toddism for, lets try it the other way)

Set your report up with months for titles and then create variables that do the calculation sum and have as an expression: iif(mthcode = 1, loan, 0) and set it to reset the value every custcode (make a group on custcode)

you'll have to make 12 variables for loan, and 12 for interest. Maybe name them like, totloan1 ... totloan12 and totint1 ... totint12

then place the variables under the titles for each month.
