Your are right, the currently selected work area (Table1) are not the parent table for the realtions into the child tables, so that must be why the relations are suspended.

I tried dumping the relations and using Linkmaster etc. as you suggested, but that gave the same result: suspended relations. The solution was to temporarely select the parent table (Table2) and refresh the form when the recordpointer moves in the parent grid.
