Thanks for the info. I found that you can't update the current table from a trigger, but you can from a record validation rule. I think "they" should fix the ODBC to behave like most others, though.

The Memo field issue seems to be a drumbeat problem as I can read, update and insert from VFP. I have posted to their board.
