UnderGraduate degree in Economics. Graduate degree (MBA) in Finance.
Taught myself dBase & Clipper in the 80's. Also put together BBSs (remember those?) with Phil Becker's TBBS/TDBS.
In the early 90's, I started a company with a few guys from the core Ashton-Tate dBase team (Jeb Long, Perry Lawrence, Nelso Tso, Steve Crivelo). We designed and developed dial-up, real-time financial information systems as well as a kind of non-HTML client browser - you might say. After two years, we were in beta, ran out of money, and folded. Less than a year later, the Internet exploded. Bad timing.
>Recently I heard a well known figure in the Foxpro community make this statement:

>"Foxpro programmers are not computer science graduates"

>I have a degree in computer science, am I the only one? Could I get a show of hands (of pixels?) of who has what kind of computer background?
