>We took several programming classes, including C/C++, Ada, Mod 2, Lisp, Prolog. All of this was on UNIX. We got to do work on SUN workstations, they upgraded to SGI's after I graduated, how rude. We got to play around with Tcl/Tk which is a X Windows GUI development tool. We had a database theory class, which got into advanced searching and sorting techniques and where they can be applied. Now they are teaching Java and more web based stuff. We also got into the Software life cycle and how to improve software quality which I think every developer should have a handle on. Then we also had our electives Graphics and AI which would get back to the research aspect of CS.

That sounds quite contemporary, then, not bad...a lot different than what I learned - but I can't fault anyone...hi-tech moves fast. At least I missed the punched cards :)
