I don't know and can't think of any good reason 9or even a bad reason for
that matter (s)) for that
however it seems that MS does
while you can without much trouble (if you know well enough how .VCXs are
constructed..) create a column entry in a VCX
- and use it (I can send you an example if you like)
the classbrowser will not let you edit the class (the problem btw is not
with the class browser but with the class editor
that pops "this class cannot be edited visually")
btw, note that when you create a grid - no column objects are created in
the VCX - all the columns info is stored in the record reserved for the
grid...
