Partway through the app may run out of space, and I find huge backups from tables and memo files. Maybe I have to manually (in code) check for and delete the vfp BAKs & TBKs? I never noticed a problem with them before, but I can't seem to find anyway to turn these backups off in vfp, as you say, now that I have a problem...

You got me on this one, Bruce. I've never seen VFP create BAKs or TBKs unless the structure was modified. Can I assume that they are the same size as the originals?
George
