Wow. What a thing to get burned on. I should write that up and post it on my wall, cause there is NO way I'll remember it when I get to the point I need private datasessions.

>That was it, David! The COLLATE setting (MACHINE) in the private datasession was different than the default setting (GENERAL), under which the index had been created. Now that they match, things are zipping along admirably.
