Hi, Jasper:
I've had the same problem with records repeating on the preview. Usually it goes away if I reboot, so I've thought it's a memory-management problem. Someone else may have a better answer.
About your second problem: First, have you checked your data with a browse to be sure you have all the correct data - be sure your SQL or other setup is correct. Second, what are you using for data groups, and what data besides the e-mail address goes into the detail section.
Not much help, but with a little more information you'll get a lot of answers.
