I agree. The interesting thing is, if you have a default value (which could be a stored procedure) this default value code will get executed. As well, stored procedure code used as a trigger will also be executed when accessing the database from ODBC. These triggers and default functions (I use one to generate the next primary key) are, in essence, stored procedures.
