A few things I can think of at the moment:
- in VFP3 you didn't need the NOFILTER statement for use the results of a sql select in another SQL-select. This caught me off guard in VFP6. Have to make dozens of changes
- keep a backup of the VFP3 source and tables for a few months in case something goes wrong
- do two conversions. The converter asks if you want to use VFP6 or VFP3 defaults. Try both and see what you like. I would go with VFP6 defaults but it will change some of the UI look of your app
- apply service pack 3 right away

ALso, do a search on "VFP6 VFP3" without the quotes and you will find some tips. P.S. You can do a search, but when you find something retrieve it with the calendar.
