Sorry it took so long for me to reply...

The button is on a list form. The form has a listbox of items, and the user can select which item they want. Then, by clicking the 'Select' button, the click method searches for the listbox's value in another table, and returns the user to a calling form - with the values the item they selected in the list box form. It's essentially a search.

It closes EVERYTHING - views, tables, etc. The funny thing is, even aliases that weren't in the data environment of the form, and were never used by anything in the form are closed.

>Which button, what does the button do? Does it release the form? Is the form's >DataEnvironment's AutoCloseTables property set to .T. (the default)?

>Actually, there is a pattern. It happens every time I click a certain button on one of my forms. I thought the
same thing you did - I checked the click method of the button to make sure it wasn't closing tables or anything
like that. I didn't find anything really incriminating.
